1. What Vera is
Vera is an AI-powered hiring assistant that conducts structured voice interviews with job candidates and produces scored evaluations. It is built and operated by Radvik LLC ("Vera", "we", "us").
By signing up for a Vera account or using the Vera service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are signing up on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One account per organisation. You may add team members within your account.
- You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
- You must notify us immediately at vera@amicus247.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
- We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or in violation of these terms.
3. What you can do with Vera
Your Vera subscription gives you the right to use the Vera platform to screen and interview candidates for genuine open roles within your organisation or, for recruitment agencies, on behalf of your clients.
You may not:
- Use Vera to interview candidates for roles that do not exist or have no genuine hiring intent.
- Use Vera to collect candidate data for purposes other than hiring evaluation (e.g. market research, competitor intelligence).
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Vera service without our written agreement.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract Vera's underlying models, prompts, or evaluation logic.
- Use Vera in any way that violates applicable employment law, anti-discrimination law, or data protection law.
- Send interview invitations to candidates without their knowledge that they are being contacted about a job opportunity.
4. What Vera does — and does not — guarantee
Vera uses AI to evaluate candidates. AI is not perfect. We design Vera to be accurate, fair, and useful — but we do not guarantee:
- That every evaluation will be correct or that Vera will never make a mistake about a candidate's competence.
- That using Vera will result in a successful hire.
- That Vera will be available 100% of the time. We aim for high uptime but there may be brief outages for maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control.
- That Vera's output will satisfy every legal requirement in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Vera complies with employment laws in your location.
We do commit to: building Vera to be structurally fair (no biometric data, no protected class inferences), keeping your data secure, notifying you promptly of any material service issues, and being responsive when something goes wrong.
5. Payments & billing
Vera is billed per role. Current pricing is displayed at vera.amicus247.com/landing.html#pricing. Prices may change — we will give you at least 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect on your active account.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Charges are non-refundable once an interview has been completed and an evaluation has been generated.
- If an interview fails due to a technical error on our side (not a candidate no-show or network issue at the candidate's end), we will credit your account for that interview.
- For enterprise or volume arrangements, contact vera@amicus247.com for a custom agreement.
6. Your responsibility to candidates
You are the data controller for candidates you invite to a Vera interview. That means the legal and ethical responsibility for how you use candidate data sits with you.
You agree to:
- Only invite candidates who have applied for or expressed interest in the relevant role — not cold-contact people with Vera interviews without their awareness.
- Be transparent with candidates that they are being screened using an AI interviewing tool.
- Not use Vera's evaluation as the sole basis for rejecting a candidate without any human review where employment law requires it.
- Honor candidate data deletion requests promptly — Vera will action them on our end within 30 days of your request.
- Comply with applicable equal opportunity and anti-discrimination employment laws in your jurisdiction.
Vera is designed to ask only job-relevant questions and to evaluate only job-relevant competencies. You configure the criteria and questions. You are responsible for ensuring they are lawful and relevant to the role.
7. Data & confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep the other's confidential information confidential. For Vera, that means your job setup, your criteria, your candidate evaluations, and your business information. For you, that means our platform, pricing, and any non-public information about how Vera works.
How Vera handles candidate and customer data is set out fully in our Privacy & Data Policy. The key points:
- You own your candidate data. We process it on your behalf.
- We do not sell your data or your candidates' data.
- We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit written consent.
- Audio is never stored. Transcripts are retained for 12 months by default, then deleted.
8. Intellectual property
Vera owns Vera. The platform, the AI models, the evaluation logic, the interface, and the brand are ours. These terms give you a licence to use the service — not to own any part of it.
You own the content you bring to Vera: your job descriptions, your criteria, your questions, your candidate data. We don't claim any ownership over the data you upload or the evaluations generated from it.
If you give us feedback or suggestions about how to improve Vera, we may use that to improve the product. We won't owe you anything for it, but we will be grateful.
9. Liability limits
We want to be straight with you about this. Vera is a software tool. We work hard to make it reliable and fair — but like all software, it has limits.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can cancel your Vera account at any time by emailing vera@amicus247.com. There are no cancellation fees. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You materially breach these terms and don't remedy it within 14 days of notice.
- We reasonably believe your use of Vera violates applicable law.
- You fail to pay amounts due.
- We decide to discontinue the Vera service — in which case we will give you at least 60 days notice and pro-rate any prepaid fees.
On termination, your access to the platform ceases. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination. After that, data is deleted per our retention policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. For minor changes (typos, clarifications that don't change your rights), we'll update the page and the "last updated" date.
If you disagree with a material change, you can cancel your account before the change takes effect and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees for the unused period.
Continuing to use Vera after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before either party initiates formal legal action, we both agree to try to resolve any dispute by good-faith negotiation first. Email us at vera@amicus247.com and give us 30 days to work it out.
Any dispute that can't be resolved by negotiation will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lake County, Illinois.
