🤖 What is Vera?

Vera is an AI interviewer that conducts structured, role-specific interviews on behalf of hiring teams. Your interviewer is AI-powered — it will ask you questions, listen to your answers, and ask follow-up questions in real time. Your responses are recorded and evaluated by the hiring company.

🎙️ How the interview works

Click the interview link sent to your email — it opens directly in your browser, no app install needed.
Allow microphone access when your browser asks. Vera is a voice interview — you speak your answers.
Vera will introduce herself and walk you through the format before the first question.
Answer each question naturally and in full. Vera may ask follow-up questions to explore your answer further.
The session ends automatically when all questions are complete. You'll see a confirmation screen.

💻 Technical requirements

Browser: Chrome or Edge recommended. Firefox and Safari are supported. Mobile browsers may not work — use a laptop or desktop if possible.
Microphone: A working microphone is required. Built-in laptop mics work fine. Headset is better for noise-prone environments.
Connection: A stable internet connection. 5 Mbps or better is ideal.
Environment: A quiet room where you can speak freely without interruption.
Camera: Not required. Vera is audio-only.

Treat this exactly like a phone screen with a senior person from the company.
Speak clearly and completely — Vera waits for you to finish before asking the next question.
It's fine to take a moment to think before answering. There's no penalty for pausing.
Give specific examples where possible. Vera scores based on depth and relevance, not length.
If you didn't understand a question, say so — Vera can clarify.

Is this a real interview or just a screening?

It's a real interview. Vera asks domain-specific questions about your experience and skills for the role. Your answers are evaluated and shared with the hiring team.

Can I redo the interview if something went wrong technically?

Contact the company that invited you — they can issue a new interview link if there was a genuine technical failure.

How long does it take?

Screening interviews typically take 10–20 minutes. Technical interviews may take 30–60 minutes depending on the role.

What happens after the interview?

Vera evaluates your responses and shares a structured report with the hiring team. They'll follow up with you directly based on their process.

Is my interview recorded?

Your spoken responses are transcribed and evaluated. The hiring company has access to the evaluation and transcript as part of their review process.

My link isn't working — what do I do?

Links are single-use. If the interview has already been completed or the link has expired, contact the recruiter or hiring manager who invited you for a new link.
